Steel Authority of India (SAIL) wants 400 Management Trainees (Technical) & 100 Management Trainees (Administration)

SAIL needs young, energetic, result oriented and promising talent to man front-line executive positions in its Plants/Units. SAIL invites applications for the posts of Management Trainees (Technical) and Management Trainees (Administration) in E-1 grade. The compensation package on cost to company basis would be around Rs. 4 lakh per annum.
Qualification:
For Management Trainees (Tech): Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in any of the following disciplines: (i) Mechanical/Production ii) Electrical iii) Metallurgy iv) Chemical v) Electronics & Telecommunications vi) Instrumentation vii) Civil viii) Ceramics and ix) Computer Science from a recognized University/Institute with minimum 65% marks in aggregate of all years/semesters (50% in aggregate for SC/ST candidates). For Computer Science discipline, those having recognised Master’s Degree in Computer Applications (3-year course) with minimum 65% marks in the aggregate (50% in aggregate for SC/ST candidates)are also eligible.
For Management Trainees (Admn):
Graduate/Post-Graduate from a recognized University with 65% marks in aggregate (50% in aggregate for SC/ST candidates) and with one of the following qualifications:
- For HR and Marketing-- MBA/PG Degree/ 2 Years Full Time Diploma with specialisation in Human Resource /Marketing Management /Materials Management from recognised and reputed University/Institutions.
- For counseling work--PG Degree or 2 Years Full Time Diploma in Applied Psychology/Social Work from recognised and reputed University/Institution
- For the posts in Law Department-- 5 years Full time Integrated Course in Law from National Law Colleges/Institute/University of equivalent repute with minimum 65% marks in aggregate (50% in aggregate for SC/ST candidates).
Age: Born not earlier than December 1, 1977
HOW TO APPLY:
Eligible and interested candidates would be required to apply online only through SAIL’s website: www.sail.co.in. No other means/mode of application shall be accepted.
Before registering their applications on the website the candidates should possess the following:
a) Valid e-mail ID.
b) Demand draft of Rs.500/- as examination fee for General and OBC Candidates.
c) Demand draft of Rs.150/- as processing fee for SC/ST& PH candidates. SC/ST & PH candidates are required to submit a self-attested copy of Caste/Disability certificate alongwith Demand Draft. Non-refundable Demand Draft should be made in favour of “STEEL AUTHORITY OF INDIA LIMITED” payable at State Bank of India, Service Branch (Code No. 7687), New Delhi. No other financial instrument is acceptable. Candidate’s name, address and category must be written on the reverse side of DD.
d) Candidates applying for both MT (Technical) and MT (Administration), should send separate registration slips and separate DD for each of the posts. Such candidates should opt for the same centre for both the tests and appear in the tests in both the sessions.
The online registration site would be open from December 11 to December 31, 2007. All correspondence with candidates shall be done through e-mail only. All information regarding examination schedule/admit card/interview call letters etc. shall be provided through email. Responsibility of receiving, downloading and printing of admit card shall be of the candidate. SAIL will not be responsible for any loss of email sent, due to invalid/wrong email ID provided by the candidate.
After applying online, candidate is required to download the system generated Registration Slip with unique registration number and other essential details with space for passport size photograph & signature. In order to ‘save’ the data entered, applicants should click on the ‘save’ button and then print the Registration Slip. Candidates applying for both MT (Technical) and MT (Administration) will have to register separately for each post with separate Demand Drafts. The Original Registration Slip, Demand Draft and a self-attested copy of Caste/Physically Handicapped certificate (for reserved category only) is to be sent, by ORDINARY POST (since post bag do not accept Registered Posts) to Steel Authority of India Limited, Post Bag No. 10, Lodhi Road Post Office, New Delhi -110003, so as to reach latest by January 10, 2008.
