NHPC Limited, a Mini Ratna, Category-I, Enterprise of Government of India is
looking for Engineers and Junior Engineers in Electrical Discipline “On Fixed Tenure Basis”
for strengthening & augmentation of Distribution and Sub-Transmission System and Rural
Electrification works in RGGVY Works of NHPC Ltd. in J&K State.
Introduction about the job.
In the “Electricity to All” Scheme of Govt. of India under Rajiv Gandhi Gramin
Vidyutikaran Yojna, NHPC (A Government of India Enterprises) has been assigned
electrification job of 31,000 villages at a cost of approximately Rs. 2600 crores to be
implemented on a turnkey basis in the States of J&K, Chhattisgarh, Orissa, West Bengal
and Bihar. These schemes are being implemented in a time bound manner on priority
basis.
NHPC urgently requires Engineers/Jr. Engineers in Electrical Discipline on Fixed
Tenure Basis for a period upto 31.03.2014 or till the works complete (whichever is earlier)
for T&RE Works being executed by NHPC Ltd. in J&K State.

AGE LIMIT: Upper age limit is 30 years as on 30.06.2013.RESERVATION AND RELAXATION:
The relaxation in age and reservation for SC/ST/OBC/Physically Handicapped/Exserviceman/J&K Migrants will be as per the Govt. norms & directives.
The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC. It is relaxable by 10 years for PH-General, 13 years for PH-OBC and 15 years for PH-SC/ST
candidates.
Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for the candidates who had ordinarily
been domiciled in the state of Jammu & Kashmir during 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989.
COMPENSATION PACKAGE: Consolidated remuneration all inclusive for Engineers and Jr.
Engineers on Fixed Tenure Basis shall be as per NHPC norms. Current rate of remuneration
are:
Engineers: Rupees 18,150/- per month.
Jr. Engineer: Rupees 9,680/- per month.
Transport Allowances and Incentives shall be paid as per rules,
Candidate (s) posted at Leh & Kargil shall be paid 30% extra.
Income tax deduction at source will be as per Income Tax Act.
MEDICAL FITNESS:
Appointment will be subject to candidate being found medically fit by the
Company’s Medical Officer or Government Medical Officer.

candidate has to bring these four printouts duly filled in along with necessary supporting

Candidates belonging to J&K shall be given preference provided they meet all the
requisite qualifying criteria.
Before coming for the interview, the candidate should ensure that he/she fulfills the
