Position Requirements:
Individual with high level of attention to detail. The individual shall have a flexible and proactive approach, be able to prioritize on heavy and variable workload and be ready to work extended hours at times of high demand on the business.
As a minimum, the applicant will have the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical / Chemical / Industrial Engineering
- Sufficient engineering exposure to understand basic engineering processes, materials and typical manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of commercial terms and conditions and understanding of costing and pricing
- Computer literacy, with emphasis on Excel and Word; Outlook and SAP
- Fluency in English
The following will be considered as an advantage:
- Understanding of material properties, material testing and non-destructive test methods and standards.
- Understanding/experience in castings, forgings and metal working processes
- Knowledge of popular ASTM standards for materials.
- Experience in valve and/or Oil & Gas industry
- End user exposure would be an advantage but not essential
- Experience in the Oil and Gas industry
