Job Description and Requirements:
Develops and applies Computer-Aided Design department (CAD) software engineering methods, theories, and research techniques in the investigation and solution of technical problems. Assesses architecture and hardware limitations. Plans technical projects in the design and development of CAD software. Defines and selects new approaches and implementation of CAD software engineering applications and design specifications and parameters. Develops routines and utility programs. Prepares design specifications, analysis and recommendations for presentation and approval.
Has a strong desire to learn and explore new technologies. Demonstrates good analysis and problem-solving skills. Prior knowledge and experience of CAD tool development are required.
Typically requires no previous professional experience. Knowledge base generally acquired from a college degree or equivalent course training. Learns to use professional concepts. Applies company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues. Follows standard practices and specific, outlined, and detailed procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained. Normally receives detailed instructions on work, which is reviewed regularly by manager or more senior peers. Builds routine working relationships internally. Contacts are primarily with direct manager and other peers in the group or department.
