POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a member of a global team, the risk analytics developer provides support and enhancement to the proprietary MSCI risk analytics platform. You will work closely with business users to follow through stages from requirement analysis, implementation, UAT, and to production deployment.

This position provides a good opportunity to work with data operation, risk analytics research, and application development teams, and get an in-depth understanding of the risk data production cycle and requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Enhance and support the existing risk analytics platform (Linux script, Java, SAS).
  • Resolve production issues in a timely manner, and propose long term solution to prevent the same from happening in the future.
  • Ensure smooth daily risk analytics data operation from technology perspective.
  • Participate in business or infrastructure projects as required from business users.
  • Analyze requirements, recommend and implement solutions, and assist UAT.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required ideally from computer science/engineering background.
  • SQL / Linux script programming experience required.
  • SAS / Java programming knowledge preferable.
  • Good communication skills and comfortable to work with both technical people as well as business people.
  • Proven experience in timely production support is desirable.
  • Experience in working within a global team environment.
  • Good written/oral English is a must.
  • Proactive, independent and adapt quickly and easily to working within rapidly changing technology platform.
