Strategy and design (80%)
· Design and deliver new support services for a Global user base.
· Deliver strategic operating models that deliver effective support at optimum cost efficiency.
· Understand the commercial and quality drivers of each region in order to develop the right support solution
· Work closely with Vendor Management to ensure that strategic and approved vendors are selected that meet requirements.
· Actively contribute to the infrastructure/applications component wide direction and planning initiatives.
· Own and take accountability for components of the business plan
· Develop a trusted working relationship with the service owners and Global service heads to understand and influence their strategies and use this to anticipate their future requirements and operational demand pipeline.
· Own, plan for and track a clear change demand pipeline for End User Computing.
· Drive outstanding customer service through the creation and management of supplier relationships and contracts.
· Identify and deliver tactical improvements to service efficiency and/or reduced service-operating costs including: classification, prioritisation and initiation of actions, documentation of improvement plans and implementation of remedial action.
· Ensure any new services, contracts or quality measures complement End User Computing's existing portfolio.
· Document processes and procedures relating to the new services.
You will be required to engage and manage all relevant stakeholders, both internal and external to Barclays
Finance (10%)
· Ensure business ownership and sign off for any funding required.
· Agree interlock processes and accountabilities and ensure that funds are available prior to delivery of service.
· Ensure that funds are RAF'd appropriately in accordance with finance processes
Risk and Rigour (10%)
· Effectively manage risk to ensure;
· Compliance to regulatory and mandatory policies
· New services are regulatory compliant and have appropriate and auditable quality checking processes in place.
