The High Court of Gujarat invites online applications from the eligible candidates, for filling up of following posts of Civil Judge in the state of Gujarat :
    • Civil Judge : 320 posts (33 Regular + 287 Ad-hoc), Pay scale :  Rs.27700-770- 33090-930- 40530-1080- 44850 + allowances, Age : 35 years; relaxation in age as per rules, Qualification : Degree in Law from a recognised University and must be practicing as an Advocate in Courts of Civil and / or Criminal Jurisdiction. Candidates who have passed the Degree in Law from the academic year 2009-2010 and onwards must have passed the ‘All India Bar Examination’, for being considered eligible as a Practicing Advocate. OR (i) Must have worked in Courts or other allied departments for at least five years and must possess Degree in Law (Special) from a University recognized by law in India.
      Application Fee :  Rs.500/- (Rs.250/- for SC/ST/EBC/PH) to be paid in Current Bank Account No. 30725811785 with the State Bank of India, High Court Complex Branch, Ahmedabad, held in the name of Registrar General, High Court of Gujarat, Sola, Ahmedabad, through any of the Core Banking Service branches of the State Bank of India using the Cash Voucher.

      RPSC invites application for 114 posts of Civil Judge and Judicial Magistrate, Rajasthan Judicial Service Examination (RJS) - 2011

      Application Fee : Rs. 250 for General and Creamy layer candidates of the OBC and Rs. 150/- for non-creamy layaer of OBC candidates. Rs. 50/- for SC/ST candidates of Rajasthan.

      Selection Procedure : Preliminary, Main written examination and Interview.

      Preliminary examination shall be objective type examination in which 70% weightage will be given to the subjects prescribed in syllabus for Law Paper -I and Law Paper – II and 30% weightage shall be given to test proficiency in Hindi and English language. The marks obtained in the preliminary examination shall not be counted towards the final selection.
      Main examination shall consist of following subjects:
      • (i) Law Paper – I Max Marks - 100

      • (iii) Language (i) Paper –I Hindi Essay Max Marks - 50

      Law Paper – II is designed to test practical knowledge of the candidates in criminal law and procedure e.g. framing charges and writing out the judgments etc. in criminal cases.

      Selection Procedure : Written Exam (on 7 & 8 Feb, 2009) and Interview.

      A. The competitive Examination for recruitment to the Rajasthan Judicial Service shall consist of: -

      • (a) a written examination in the subjects hereinafter mentioned, and
      • (b) an interview to test the General Knowledge of the candidate and his fitness for appointment.

      B. The examination will be in the following subjects, each subject carrying the number of marks shown against each: -

      1. Law Paper-I - 100 Marks
      2. Law Paper-II - 100 Marks
      3. Language (I) Paper-I - Hindi essay - 50 Marks
      4. Language (II) Paper-II English essay  - 50 Marks

      Law Paper-I is designed to test the practical knowledge of the candidates in civil law and procedure e.g. drafting, pleading, framing issues and writing out judgments etc., in Civil Cases.

      Law Paper-II is designed to test the practical knowledge of the candidates in criminal law and procedure e.g. framing charges and writing out judgments etc. in Criminal Cases.

      Law Paper-I and Law Paper-II shall be answered either in English or in Hindi but no candidate shall be permitted to answer any of these papers partly in Hindi and partly in English.

      After the marks obtained by the candidates in the written test have been received, the Commission shall call for interview such of them as have obtained a minimum of 35 percent marks in each of the Law Papers and 40 percent marks in the aggregate. The interview shall carry 35 marks.
