Essential Job Functions/Accountabilities:

The engineer will:

·         Perform software product testing and investigate possible causes of problems according to the company's overall development and testing processes.
·         Comply with the company's quality procedures. 
·         Assist in the planning and implementation of testing initiatives. 
·         Help to analyze requirements and develop tests suitable for new/enhanced product features.
·         Update and modify existing tests as necessary. 
·         Develop test case documentation.
·         Specify and write test cases. 
·         Write and/or maintain test scripts for automated testing.
·         Perform functional, application, regression and performance tests.
·         Analyze test results and issue defect reports.
·         Perform other assigned tasks as directed by the supervisor to improve the overall quality of ANSYS, Inc. products

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

·         Bachelors Degree in Engineering, preferably Masters degree in Mechanical/Aerospace/Process Engineering or similar.
·         Exposure to CAD/CAE tools by way of industrial experience or Academic projects
·         A thorough and careful approach to work; close attention to details and quality
·         Ability to establish good working relationships with development, testing, software quality assurance, and support staff.
·         General skills in planning and problem solving
·         Excellent written and oral communication skills
·         Demonstrated knowledge of Windows and Linux systems and programming/scripting languages is desirable

Technical Hiring Process:

The technical hiring process of athenahealth consists of multiple rounds aimed at gauging the
problem solving, programming, testing and technical abilities of the candidates.

Analytical Test:

This round will assess the problem-solving ability, analytical skills and lateral thinking of the
candidate. It will be a written test with limited set of questions to be solved in one hour.
Programming & QA Validation Test:
On clearing the analytical test, the shortlisted candidates are challenged with interesting questions
that need to be solved programmatically on computers. The programming language can be chosen
from the list of available languages on our online programming application (C, C++, Java, PERL,
Python, Ruby, etc.). It will be followed by a quick test to validate arbitrary programs.

Technical Interview:

On successful completion of programming test, the shortlisted candidates will attend multiple
rounds of face-to-face technical interviews. The technical knowledge, competency and adaptability
are evaluated during this stage.

HR Interview:

A final round of face-to-face interview happens with the HR Manager.
Announcement of selected candidates:
On completion of our interview process selected candidates will be informed on the same day.

Issue of Offer Letter:

The HR team will send the offer letter to the candidates within few weeks after selection. A signed
copy of the offer letter should be returned within 10 days of receiving it.

- Experience in designing the test cases based on requirement/functional specifications.
- Experience in maintaining test beds and troubleshooting the setup/environmental issues.

- Working knowledge of SMTP, LDAP Schema, Email Exchange Server and Hosted Solutions (desired).
- Working knowledge of Windows Server, MySQL Database  and Linux or similar.
