DAE (RRCAT) Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced Technology invites Applications for Stipendiary Trainees

Category No Post No Discipline No of post Qualification
I 1 Physics 12 Minimum 60% marks in B.Sc (Physics as principle and Mathematics/ Chemistry/ Statistics/ Electronics/ Computer Science as subsidiary subjects). Note : Candidates with minimum 60% marks in B.Sc. with Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Electronics/ Computer Science/ as subjects with equal weightage will also be considered, provided they have Physics & Mathematics (must) and any one from the above set of subjects.
2 Mechanical 7 Minimum 60% marks in Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (3 years after SSC or 2 years after HSC/B.Sc.)
3 Electronics/ Instrumentation 7 Minimum 60% marks in Diploma in Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering (3 years after SSC or 2 years after HSC/B.Sc.)
4 Electrical 4 Minimum 60% marks in Diploma in Electrical Engineering (3 years after SSC or 2 years after HSC/B.Sc.)
II 1 Electronics/ Instrumentation 6 SSC or HSC with a minimum 60% marks in Science & Maths subjects PLUS ITI certificate in Instrumentation/ Electronics/ Machinist/ Electrical/ Fitter/ Turner/ Miller. The ITI/NCVT qualification should be either of the following three- 1) ITI/NCVT put together of not less than 3 years or 2) ITI of 2 years duration

Age Limit : 19 - 24 yrs for Category I and 18-22 yrs for Category II

Stipend :
  • For Category I : Rs.9,300,
  • For Category II : Rs.6,200 for 1st year, Rs.7,200 for 2nd year

How to apply : Application should be submitted in the proforma given herewith. Application should preferably be typewritten on A4 size paper. The application and the out cover should superscribed as "Application for the Post No.______ of Category I/Category II against Advertisement No. RRCAT-2/2010". Only one application should be submitted for one post. If a candidate wishes to apply for more than one post, separate application should be submitted for each post. Age limit as on 01.01.2010
For the Post of Technical Officer/Engineer ‘D’ : Not more than 35 years
For the Post of Technical Officer/Engineer ‘C’ : Not more than 35 years
For the Post of Scientific Assistant ‘B’ : Not more than 30 years

    Age: Minimum – 21 Years and Maximum – 30 Years (as on 1st September 2008)

Selection, Posting & Training:
The candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria shall be invited to participate in an Objective-type Written Test to be followed by Personal Interview for shortlisted candidates. Pre-employment medical examination shall be conducted for qualified candidates.

Selected candidates will be required to execute a Service Bond to serve MTNL for a period of five (5) years after successful completion of training
